Standard Water Activated Paper Tape is a non-reinforced kraft paper tape designed for securely sealing cardboard cartons in warehouses, fulfilment centres, distribution operations and other regular packing environments. The adhesive is activated with water before application, creating a fast, permanent bond with most grades of cardboard that also helps improve carton strength and rigidity. Once applied, the tape bonds closely with the carton surface, so attempts to remove or lift it are likely to leave visible damage behind. This makes unauthorised opening and resealing more difficult to conceal, helping provide clear evidence of tampering and improved protection against pilferage during storage and transit. The range is available in a choice of paper weights and widths, with both gummed-side-in (GSI) and gummed-side-out (GSO) options to suit different water activated tape dispensing equipment. A compatible water activated tape dispenser is required to moisten the adhesive and prepare the tape for application.
